Sui gas bills in Pakistan are calculated based on domestic tariff slabs defined by OGRA (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority). Slabs are progressive, meaning higher consumption results in a higher rate per MMBTU (Million British Thermal Units) or HM3 (Hectometers).

How Gas Billing Slabs Work
- Protected Category: Consumers using less than 0.9 HM3 of gas per month during winter are placed in the protected category, receiving lower base tariffs.
- Unprotected Category: Higher gas usage moves the connection to the unprotected category, where tariffs increase sharply for each slab.
- Meter Rent and Taxes: Gas bills also include fixed meter rent, General Sales Tax (GST), and provincial training fund charges.
